Man i wish we had privatized insurance here. In manitoba we can ONLY get insurance through MPI. They are an absolute JOKE!. 2000 2 door 4x4 i pay $148 per month with $200 deductible. I got side swiped by a guy once, we were backing up at the same time he turned his wheel and his front end hit my back end. They claimed i backed into him. I just wonder if i backed into him how the damage was on the side and around to the front of his car when i backed up straight. They called me at fault because one of the other guys buddies said he was a witness (Although he was alone). Little **** after he hit me drove off into the parking lot and i had to chase him down and i still got dinged. A JOKE! Then the insurance adjuster says i am lieing straight up. Oh man that was an absolute joke!..AND i ended up gettin like a $800 surcharge on my license for that.........Now their motorcycle insurance is RETARDED. if i go buy a 10 year old sport bike for 3g..well insurance is 2500-3000 per year. WHAT....and if you pay monthly the summer payments are more expensive than winter!.. RETARDED.......Oh ya heres the BEST PART. (and supposidly why their insurance is so high for motorcycles). say a drunk driver hits 2 cars, a sign, a building, fence, etc. and then hits a motorcycle. well it all comes out of the motorcycles "fund". complete BULL!

We pay $68 dollars/month for 2 - SUVs, 1- F250, & my Suzuki SV650. That is for PL, PD, & Towing. My bike has comp on it also.
I deal with Farmers & Progressive.

lol John.... I know the pain, my insurance (which I'm sure is close to yours) is $1800 & change a year! That's on a clean driving record, no claims!

$2 million 3rd party coverage
$500 deductable
$200 for glass deductable

That's downright facking crazy!
1st ding - SUV
2nd ding - 4x4
My 3rd ding - 2 door <--- because it's a 2 door it's a sport!... isn't that part of SUV?

Right now, paying approx $80/month for my Blazer through AAA.

Full Coverage
Comp & Collision $250 deductible

The $80 is slightly misleading though because they require you to purchase their membership. This includes all the towing and roadside assistance and some other benefits. I usually stick with the "midgrade" version of this (they have 3 levels) and have to pay roughly another $130 a year. The biggest benefit for me is that the midgrade allows towing up to 100 miles away (basic membership is 10 miles) and I can use it for others that I may be riding with. This has been very useful during this past year especially.

Well, currently I'm paying $110 monthly for full coverage from Nationwide. That's actually down, too. I was paying $130 a month.
