Default interesting morning

got pulled over for no reason by a CT state trooper. I got onto the highway by my house like normal. It was saturday morning, I was going to work. I merged onto I-72 for a while. I-84 and I-72 merge for a bit, a state trooper with his lights on comes flying down I-84 and merges onto I72 in front of me. He just kept going and going and going, apparently not planning on pulling anyone over. Followed behind him a ways for at least 5-8 miles on I-72. I-72 ends and splits to RT.9 east or west. I go east to work. Approaching the rt.9 split, the state trooper stops in the middle of the highway, rolls his window down, and drops a lit flare on the ground. I pull up behind him and stop (on the highway mind you). I'm thinking there is an accident or something, but there was no traffic. He pulls up a little more and drops another flare. Little more, another flare. At this point I have cars coming up behind me. The state trooper was in the right lane mostly and was dropping the flares on the lines in the middle of the two lanes. I proceeded to go around the flares (like any normal person would do) and proceeded on my way. He pulls out and pulls me over. He then asks me "Where do you think you're going?" I said "to work". He then yells "Didn't you see my lights on? What makes you think you can pass me with my lights on!?" My reply was "Sorry" with a little bit of sarcasticness in there. He then speeds off, I pull back into traffic and proceed on my way to work. Let me add, there was no accident, no traffic back-up, no nothing in the road, so why he was dropping flares in the road was beyond me. I wonder who pissed in his cheerios that morning? Just wanted to share my wierd morning with everyone. Anyone else have times like these? I seem to be a magnet for these sorts of things!

That is quite weird. You should call in to the PD and see what he was up to. If you want, or just let it be and go on your way. lol

Not quite sure what to say in this situation. He must have been up to something but maybe in the wrong place?

I've been passed by a trooper with lights on who then started weaving back and forth across the highway. I, too, was wondering WTF until we came up on a massive wreck. My guess is he was trying to get traffic to stop for something but then found out he was on the wrong road?

Well I'm sure there was a reason for it. Just not sure what lol. That's odd though.

^^ LOL

As for the Trooper, i wont lie.... i have done stuff similar (minus yelling at people) when i have been called to the wrong spot/recieved bad info. there is nothing like rolling into a noise complaint thinking it's a domestic in progress because you got a bad address

chances are he's probably just a douche and was having a bad night

^^LOL That movie is hilarious.

Anyways, that's just plain odd. He must have been called to the wrong spot. Either that, or he just likes dropping flares. They are pretty and colorful.
