Its official - I'm now a Kiwi!
 

Was presented today with my "certificate of citizenship" by the Mayor of North Shore City. (soon to be non-city). Was one of 500 new migrants. (38 nationalities represented)

Funny thing though, is I had to swear allegiance to the Queen of New Zealand! Why? Being British, I'm already sworn to the Queen of England! Same Queen by the way - for those who don't know. LOL

So now I'm a British South African Kiwi (New Zealander) :) Just need to apply for my new passport & I'm good to go!

Congrats! How are Kiwis towards immigrants such as us Americans? I've seen so many beautiful pictures from there and have heard nothing but good things, so I've decided if I ever win the lottery or strike oil that I'm moving to NZ. Just asking because I've heard Australians are nice to tourists, but hate when people actually move there and are typically mean to them.

Phil - There were some Americans represented. Not sure how many though. There are lots of American living down this way.

Funny thing is, IF I win the lotto (a big one) I'll be moving to the US! LOL Realistically though, at my age I'd probably move to the sunshine coast of Aussie. I'll just visit the US often. Lots I want to see.

Tonight's (Big Wednesday) is 6.5 mill +pair of luxury cars, a bach (holiday home), overseas travel & some more stuff. Total of about 8 mill. Saturday is 16 million. So I'll call mate! If not tomorrow, then Sunday! LOL
