K2500 350 fuel lines
 

Hi guys,

I have just bought a K2500 -89 Extended Cab Longbed.

The fuel lines, actually hoses, are damaged between tank and filter so it leaks gas.
I have bought new hoses today but I have a question.
There are three or four identical hoses in the beam leading from the tank to the front and one of them to the filter. Is there a return line on a 350TBI?
Or what's all the hoses/lines for?

one pressure line, one vent line and one return line and you got a brake line running back there too. ive actually replaced all mine from by the transmission back to the tank without dropping the tank. you can actually grab them by reaching around from the outside of the frame and run your own lines. its kind of a pain but can be done

TBI is still lower pressure you can use rubber lines and hose clamps but still makes me paranoid, ill put like 5 of them on there, and if possible flare the end of the metal lines a bit so the hose clamps grab on to it better.

I dropped the tank yesterday. On the upper half of the tank there is some holes. So I'll replace the tank because it's not worth welding it.
I will replace all fuel lines and brake lines and put a layer of body protection while the tank is gone.

nice... yeah unfortunately when my pump went out it happened at work at 5pm when i was ready to leave for the weekend so i didnt have time to replace all the lines that needed to be replaced at the time. but yeah definitely with that tank out of the way replace everything you can

That's no fun when it happends like that.

My plan was to start fixing today, but it has been raining all day and since mine is ext cab and 8 foot bed it hard fits in the shop.
My brother is working on his Blazer '74 Cab and my father on his C1500 '85 with cab, bed and frame seperate.

Looking for a place because lack of space at my parents. But it's not very easy to find an old barn for hire around here. Especially not that I'm able to weld in and still being insured.
