I'll admit I do have a copy of windows 7 installed alongside Mac OS. But I only use it for a few select programs for my IT profession

^^^ yeah same deal with me. I need it for my gps. Unfortunately my routing software and map and construction updates only work on windows....and I have to update construction daily lol

The reason PCs cannot (easily) run OS X is entirely Apple's fault. There are a number of people running OS X on their PCs but it isn't as simple as sliding in a Win7 disc and clicking start.
Honestly, the fact that Macs can run Windows is a testament to how great Windows really is. MS could have been a douche like Apple and locked their software down, then charge $$$$ in order to get 'acceptable' hardware that can run it.
I use a Win7 desktop, ubuntu laptop and jailbroken iPhone and they all work very well. I prefer Windows because I can run it on any $300 machine but that doesn't mean I dislike Mac.

Macs work as well as they do because of the control apple has on everything. If it was a free for all it'd be bug ridden and open to all the issues that plague windows users.
I'll say windows runs great. Just don't connect it to the Internet and it will not have any issues
