New Chevy Colorado

I'd like to point out that if you look at the reflections in the "vehicle" you'll see that you can't see anything clearly like a paint job usually reflects. Also, the lighting doesn't quite match the backgrounds they're using. This leads me to believe these are still concept renderings and the styrofoam model you'll see at the "Bangkok Motor Show" and any motor show following will most likely be changed in some way. That some way includes me hoping they ditch the Equinox front end. Mind you the Canyon with the Terrain front end would look pretty tough...

does look like a ridgeline to me, they need to make the 4.8 v8 an option.
I do really like the current exterior design, but the interior is so cheap and basic, thats where they lost my sale, im test driving the silverado 4.8 this summer, supposed to get about the same mileage as the 4.3! but with something like 275hp 285 tq

Except for the rear end I like it. I see more Avalanche, than Ridgeline.
Also, this is just a rendering, and their is no word on whether it is ACTUALLY to America.
However, GM "confirmed" the next generation Colorado to be sold in the U.S. will be built in Brazil.

I wouldn't hold out hope for that to happen. Chevy announced that the next Equinox will be smaller and it looks as though rumors have them shrinking (to one degree or other) most of their truck lines over the next few years. Let's be honest, the heaviest thing the majority of people carry around in the bed of their truck is air. I would welcome some smaller pick-ups overall.

is chevy so dumb they cant figure that the silverado is the best selling truck out there, why cant they just make a 3/8 or even a 1/4 ton version of it......instead they give us this crap....the ranger looks like much more of a truck than the colorado

It's similar to the Traverse, but It looks to me like they have a "Colorado specific" version of that style of front end.
And Blazin', to answer your question. Chevy is so smart they realize if they were to do that it would cut into the sales of the fullsizes. If they had a truck like that would you be looking at the 4.8 Silverado? Which if it's a 2010 or newer has ~300hp.

I like the rims. Bout it too!
And Pat. 2007 NBS+ has 300hp from the 4.8l. The 4.8l I had even had alot of nuts. Pushed an extended cab 4x4 pretty well. The 4.8 and 5.3 share the same block. Different heads, bore and stroke. ALL mods fit both engines. Pretty smart of them. The un-smart part was making 2 different style trucks with 2 different 4.8s in the same year. lol.
