New vehicle for my family
The womans burban needed 2l of trans fluid the other day, then today it started pissing out coolant this morning... found the rad leaking internally amd externally... Also has balooning hoses and a broken off temp sensor.
New rad is 460 bucks after a "buddy" discount - not gonna do it. Went to the honda dealer and got approved for another vehicle. Taking her over later to choose her new vehicle... The choices are: 2011 Honda Odyssey EX - 28,500 (newest, best economy) 2009 chrysler town + country - 23,000 (this one has dvds) 2008 Honda Odyssey LX - 21,500 (LOADED power everything, but rear buckets so its 7pass, not 8 like our family has) 2010 Dodge Durango - 24,000 (v8 muahahah) I kinda want her to pick the chrysler, but its her choice since its her car. Any input on these vans? |
dodge sounds nice but im not a car person .... so dont listen to me =D

My son's best friend headed the minivan engineering program at Chrysler {now in charge entire line}, and my son says he's doing everything he can to make them the best and last.
Son -Jeep guy- sez they're really nice to drive... "If they werent a minivan" |
Couldnt find a sitter so we will have to try for tomorrow...

With gas prices I would hope for the one with the best miles per gallon. Honda is hard to beat. The Durango from 04 are nice but not real good economy.
My two cents worth. |
My neighbor and really good friend has a 2011 Odyssey and she loves it. Good mpgs, rides and drives nice, and is stupid reliable. She has four boys 14 and under and it is holding up really well inside and they all play sports so there is gear being hauled around daily as well. That's all the input I can give I hate anything Chrysler and have no experience with them anyway. I to am looking for a new ride for the wife. She is set on the Ford Edge. Good luck and happy shopping!!

Yeah so i went and bought a radiator for the burban... We just got a house, and with my new truck i dont really want morre payments...
Suburban radiator - 460 bux (34" wide, oil and trans coolers) New hoses, clamps, temp sensor, coolant - 100 Took me an hour and a half and 3 beers. Flushed with CLR first, took a while to rinse all the trans fluid out. Leaking trans fluid into the coolant via an internal leak. We will get her a new truck or van when her Scentsy sales start going up... Besides, shes not the best at maintenace (letting me know so i cam fix/service it) or cleaning ot... |
