redneck camper

Saw this when i went to grab grass seed today... Thought of you all when i did.

A keen eye will notice the ratchet strap holding the camper on. Also the kid is attaching red reflectors on the back of the camper as its too wide to see the truck tails from behind... Wow. This guy appeared to have 5 kids, and the camper looked like they are living in it...

I think he has to have all his fat kids in the cab before hitting the gas.

I swear the truck said "h-e-l-p m-e" when i crawled by.

Alberta rednecks!

awsome i love it!!! i love the fact that the pic is taken out front a Canadian tire store......LMAO

The camper is clean compared to the truck. The chevy is already a full size so wtf would that camper go in? Obviously it's new to them anyway- hence ratchet strap lol.
Then I see a reflection in the side window of the camper, in Alberta are Canadian Tire parking lots THAT short that after 5 parking spots there's a wooded area infront of the store? Looks like a pine tree, rock & a hill. Perhaps the slide/vent windows are open IE a screen so no reflection. Maybe it's a picture in the window facing outwards. The shadows are wrong, the kid doesn't have a shadow & judging by the angle of them Canadian Tire should still be open (higher sun = mid day). Where are all the other vehicles?

Odd picture for sure.

I see campers like that all the time, they're designed for regular bed trucks, not short bed and they normally stick out like that on the sides. most die hards mount bars to the frame to chain to so it won't rock around and usually its only two people in the truck....

Yeah its canadian tire store, about noon. The reflection would show a mcdonalds and walmart across the parking lot. I think nobody parked mear it in case it toppled over lol. Its a large parking lot, the wooded are is just a boulevard between the lot and the store.

Edit - yeah thats a picture of some sort in the camper window, the parking lot is pretty big.

That camper is for an 8' bed & they have it in a 6' bed. Maybe that is all they have. Better than sleeping out in the open. There are a lot of people these days that are homeless & have no choice.
Just be glad your not in that position. I stop at the park here in town & talk with the homeless guys that are sober & just hanging out trying to stay cool in this 120 degree heat. Sometimes I give them money or drinks.
But for the grace of God I could be in that position, & I would hope someone would befriend me.

my guess is they found a good deal on a used camper and figured they could make do and test it out... but I hope they tied it down well as it's sticking out of the bed a whole lot.
