I thought it'd be kind of cool to "show off" the city you live in, kinda let others know what it's like, etc.

Lol... off topic, but seriously... this is held every summer in my big ole town of Bushnell IL, Drag for Dare, where local men dress up as women in a beauty pageant to collect money for D.A.R.E. ... its drug abuse resistance education... lol
