Stanced Cars

What are your opinions on them? I personally like them. Not overdone or mainstream. I think that they are stupid if they aren't functional though. I like roof racks if you aren't using it for show. I ride BMX, so I would have a reason to get one, but it is somewhat stupid when people do things without reason. I would only sticker bomb something or do the rust effect because I am too poor. I almost considered one of those on my Blazer because they paint is messed up but I am trying to trade it for an s10, so I don't want to put too much love into something that I am trying to get rid of. I like stanced trucks though. They are usually more functional because they were higher to begin with. Plus, most trucks are RWD so you can drift them too. Here is a car that I really like because it is stanced and still completely functional. http://www.driftingstreet.com/images...rolla-ae86.jpg
Or this s10 looks really nice

Eh. It's ok, if that's your thing. Seems like you would get a lot of tire rub?

Those pics are not what I think of when I hear "Stance" Those are just lowered. Stanced to me is making wrong wheels fit (offset too low + width too wide) with tire stretch and camber plus lots of low. Like these:

But only when there is no rub like all of these. If it rubs or has too much poke its just a hack job.

Yeah... Those look nice but I wouldn't want to drive them really. You would get a lot of tire rub. I wouldn't really go all out with it though without bags. In Michigan the roads are so bad that it wouldn't survive.

This is my second favorite truck after the s10 and I love the way this one sits

Yeah those are good. Not too big a fan of the rims on the last VW but those sit nicely. Not too low and not too much camber. Especially that Datsun.

Hilarious. If your rims stick out wider than the tires, you don't actually know what you're doing (pics #2 and #4).

Well, at some degree it looks bad. Take this for example... http://www.stancenation.com/wp-conte...s-gs300-10.jpg

^best response so far.

Coming from a world were everyone tries to fit the widest tire/wheel they can on their cars for extra traction at the strip or for road race/autocross, it really makes no sense to me when i see these dopes purposely stretch the smallest tire they can on a huge wheel and then call it cool. :icon_verzsilly:

Yeah... I am not a terribly big fan of the stretched tire thing... especially when it is overdone, but if it is functional and can still do everything a normal car can, then I like it.
