Default Tahoe vs Suburban

If I won the lottery, I'd buy a new Chevy truck (4wd) & have the RHD conversion done - gotta have the steering on the RIGHT side. Choice is between Tahoe & Suburban.

I've googled these two trucks but can't actually find the dimentions. They show payloads & load space but not length, width & height - probably not an important thing in the land of overgrown vehicles. LOL
From the pictures they appear to be the same size. Just with a few styling differences.
Apart from the drive train, what's the difference between the them? Size wise.

i think they're basically the same, the major difference being more cargo space in the back

You'll notice the back doors on the tahoe are cutout for the rear wheel well like your Blazer, while the Suburban is stretched out and has 4 "full" doors. Essentially the Tahoe is a shorter Suburban and better for urban life if you don't need the extra cargo space.

Thanks guys.

Yea I kinda figured thet the Burb was a stretched Tahoe but wasn't sure about the height & width. Obviously a few minor cosmetic differences to set them apart.
I note the width & height are pretty much the same. Just thought there might be a difference there too - not that .1" makes any difference LOL

What about the 1/2 ton vs 3/4 ton model? Is this same vehicle just heavier carrying capacity?

I'm pretty sure it's the same truck just a different running gear, maybe a stronger load prepped suspension? Don't quote me on that it's just a rough guesstimate. Should do a RHD swap on a '79 Sububan and chop the top =P Make it a soft top with a bed my dream truck right thur

The main difference is length and wheel base and cargo space. I have had both Suburbans and Tahoes. The main cargo difference is in the back behind the 3rd seat. The Tahoe doesn't have much behind that seat but it can fold down where is the Suburban has quite a bit more room behind the seat. Also you can get the 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton in a Suburban but not a Tahoe. Hope this helps.

3/4 ton has heavier load rating, as well as stronger axles. Most likely a 6.2L V8 instead of the 5.3, depending on year.
