Towing my K5

Okay.
As those have who have seen me around know I have bought an '86 K5 that needs some work. I am constantly moving around the country from construction site to site. usually with very little notice. My lucky streak leads me to believe that as soon as I get the thing dismantled it will time to relocate so I'm considering installing tow bar receiver on the front of my blazer to get it from place to place.
The company truck is '05 Chevy 1/2 ton, 4x4 with the 4.8. Now I've hauled some pretty heavy stuff with this truck..(probably heavier than legal but who's to say) anybody done this before? should I install electric brakes on the blazer? Do I need to unhook both drive shafts?

I would remove the driveshafts if you were going to be flat towing it any distance. As far as brakes, I would not worry too much about it as it should not be over the tow limit of your company truck.

OK. Sorry to resurrect this one but I'm getting tired of reading the "What have you got done..." thread LOL, and I have the opportunity to reunite with the blazer for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year holiday. Anybody suggest a quality tow bar at a reasonable price? You RV'ers?
