Well my truck was giving my problems and overall wasnt happy with the mileage or how it was performing so i sold it. Now i am in the market for a 95+ s10 lower mileage and plan on doing some quality off roading with it. I plan on getting a 4DR for around $2000-2500 around 100k miles. Then i plan on a body lift or maybe a 2-3" suspension lift, a nice set of black steel rims and some agressive tires. then i think ill be good. Give me your opinions on what i should do. Thanks

i'd get a zr2 blazer if your thinking of offroading. only downside being a 2dr. i'd trade my 4dr for a 2dr though. the newer the better. me personally i'd get at least a 98 and up. i believe somewhere in the early 2000 they changed the 4.3L so they didn't have the EGR,

The change in the emissions system was late in the 2002 model year.

im going to look at a 1996 tomorrow with 160k on it but rebuilt. Its a one owner truck and has been garage kept since new. Im hoping it works out and is as nice as he says it is

Yeah I would go for a 98 or newer just for the interior personally. I have a 96 and the interior is fine but I would like the newer ones much more. The cupholders are terrible in the older interior as well, I have to stuff them with napkins for my cup not to spill, which can be really distracting when I'm driving. Also, as previously mentioned, even though it's a 2dr, the zr2 is better for offroad.
