I am currently working as a systems administrator for a civil engineering company. We have 3 offices in western PA and I manage the computer systems at all 3.
I also do consulting on the side for a few organizations that I just don't have the heart to blow them off. I've been their "IT" guy for years and it's good side work - its just killing my potential free time.
I am also currently going to Penn State to finish my Information Science and Technology degree. Straight out of high school I went a few years and made some bad choices. I was going downhill until I got the job I am currently at. It paid good by a 20 year old's standards and I dropped out of school. Fast forward 5 years and I started going back for my bachelor's instead of just my associates. I'd like to work as an IT manager at a hospital. It would be nice to be around cute nurses all day and know that in some indirect way I am helping people help other people.
