I dunno, what's the governer at like 98mph? The highway was clear and I had to pee really bad lol.
hit around 115 in the '93 GrandAM
about 110 in the '93 Blazer
127 in the '97 Grand Prix GTP
110 in the '92 Tempo V6
120 in the '92 Tempo 4cyl only took about 15 miles, but it did get up there eventually

Hmm, in the blazer, the speed limiter is set at 112, in the FireChicken the governor restricts it to a top speed of 90ish lol

On a closed course right...! Have to abide by the rules...

We have a defunct air strip near by that I was able to open up quite a few of my vehicles on on a variety of occasions. It was part of the old army depot and is now attached to our fire training center.

1970 Chevelle (386hp, but 2.83 gears in the rear) - 152mph clocked by the state police on the runway - sanctioned event. This was my last run and I had a pretty good tail wind. Running the other way against the wind, I was only able to run 138mph. This was 13+ years ago now...

2001 Bonneville SSEi (with tune & smaller pulley) - 129mph as indicated by the hud. It had more, but I was running out of run way.

2004 Buick Rainier
- speed limiter kicked in at an indicated 117mph. Got there surprisingly fast.

closed course...

1989 Ford Probe GT Turbo 140 -145mph (speedo stops at 120 needle was pointing at the middle of "P" in MPH)

130ish in a c4 vette

97 Bravada: 101mph (limited by ecu)

Illinois State Police in a undercover White Mustang R stated I was doing 131mph in my old 91 civic hatch... so said the summary, and the states attorney... ticket stated 101mph.... the other ticket stated 65mph over in a 65mph zone (130mph)

I was doing bad stuff and I dont recommend it lol, heh, i have a folder packed full of old paid/expunged tickets and receipts-paperwork from attorney fees
