I LOVE MY JOB

4.3vortec 08-20-2014 02:54 PM

Currently, I'm self employed. (Can't find a job near me) I do everything that has to do with cars. Electrical, engine, body, trans, ect. The reason why I can't find a job is, I'm only 17 (don't let that fool you, I'm smarter then you think) and all of the places around me you have to be 18 to work there.

It's been slow lately, so I don't have any pictures.

My most recent 'job' was my internship with IMFT (Intel-Micron Flash Technologies) this summer. I've been asked to come back after I graduate for a permanent job. IMFT is a world leader when it comes to NAND flash memory technology, competing with the likes of Samsung and Toshiba (Leading the pack for years now, technology wise.) They supply memory for Apple products, Google search data centers, Intel SSDs, and much more.

I worked on the Ion Implanters there which are multi-million dollar tools that are like miniature particle accelerators. I got to play with high voltage (up to 750KV) and nasty gasses like Arsine and Phosphine. It was a whole lot of fun and I can't wait to go back next year. :)

750 kV?! Dang. I thought the 345 kV I got to work around was high voltage!
