Taking off Monday morn on a trip thats 510.9 miles away....so just over 1000 miles round trip. I have checked the fluids; aired up the tires and have done a general once over walk around and I anticipate no problems.

As it sits today....no. And if I didn't live in California, and I could do everything I would like to it, the answer would be a resounding yes. From 84 to 99 it was my daily driver. My family and I went everywhere in it putting well over 300XXX miles on it. Except for aftermarket parts that failed, I only actually had it towed 4 times. I just wish I had been in a better position to take car of what it needs to get running again as it would have been preferable to buying a newer truck.

Total of just over 1100 miles driven; no problems at all. Only thing that sux is with the lifted body; oversized AT tires and having stuff up top in the basket our average gas mileage for the trip was 13.3 MPG. 90% interstates with cruze set between 81 & 83 mph.

The absolute best mileage I ever got was right at 15. We took a trip to the Grand Canyon, and I had about 20XXX on the first replacement engine I built just for this application. I think the mileage would have improved if I had Cruse Control and Computer Controlled Fuel Injection. The trouble is living in California, they don't care if you can make something better by upgrading to newer technology.

Late last month I made a round trip of 1,111 miles towing my 2,200 lb boat and trailer. No problems at all. When over Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 too. I'm glad that when I had transmission rebuilt (because I towed in OD) that I kept it in 3rd and had an extra transmission oil cooler installed. :-)

If you would have asked me 4 years ago, no, lol

Today, absolutely yes, although I'd pull the mud tires off first because I don't think I could stand to listen to that rawr for 1000 miles non stop :P
