I'm pretty sure I am well over $40k on my Blazer. Bought it brand new 24 years ago come Oct for somewhere in the low 20's I believe. Between maintenance, insurance, repairs, mods, tires, and gas for almost 300k miles I am almost positive I've got over $40k into it. And, no, I wouldn't swap for any of those listed.
