First 'vehicle' was a 1964 Honda CB160 (well used)...
first 'car' was a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine (came complete with blown head gasket) so I got free 'mechanic' lessons with it, lol
Sadly, it died at the curb while parked in front of the house... the local bartender came home a little 'well lubed' and drove his big Plymouth Fury into it...totaled....
a truly lousy way to get woken up at 4am...... (sigh)......

Talking

My first car was a Green 1998 Chevy Blazer LS. It was the first car I tested that I could fit in (6'7"). I bought it from a Mobil Station, across from a WalMart...LOL! It cost me $6k, and had 105k on it...a new set of tires, and a new muffler sealed the deal! Pictures are in my profiles garage. It lasted 6 years, until I sold it to a mechanically inclined individual, who turned it into a daily driver / offroader. Most of my friends were 3 or 4 cars in at the point I started shopping for a new truck, while I was still sporting my shiny Chevy, with the woodscrews in the drivers door panel, and the lack of ABS (sensor burned out around 140k), making it fun to transverse the 30% mile-long grades in the winter!

THAT CLEARCOAT WAS AMAZING! I had people come up to me, and ask if I detailed cars...my response was to reach down, and wipe the brake dust from my whitewalls to reveal that, in fact, they were whitewalls! LOL! I probably cleaned that truck 10 times in the 6 years, mostly to remove bird crap and such! I let nature (and high speeds through puddles) keep the dirt at a minimum. That car had never seen a coat of wax...in fact, when I did clean it, it was with dawn soap, to help remove the sap from my windshield and hood. I regret selling it, but I needed something with less miles to take me to school (roughly 300 miles/week), and blazoo was showing its age.

It was a money pit, but the best investment of my life so far...I went out, and bought another blazer...they are amazing!

omg I feel old now... in '84 I was 16, my 1st car was a 1964 AMC Rambler Ambassador 990.
327 4BBL, 3 sp auto, dual exhaust with cherry bombs & a 3:93 open rear I think. Talk about LOUD wholy crap, my friends would hear the car coming 3 blocks away. Kinda tough to sneak out at night though, we had to push it halfway down the block so my mother wouldn't wake up.

picture the black rambler in the same red as the other & a black roof, that would be mine then, even with the Cragar 5 spokes
