In 2003 I turned 13 and bought my first car from my grandfather. He collects antique cars and bought a 58 chevy belaire along with a 64 Ford Thunderbird as a package deal. He said the 64 was too new for him and asked if I would be interested in buying the T-Bird for my first car. Luckily he put me on the "12 month" car payment plan and after a year went by he said congrats, you just bought your first car! Worth about 5 times that now and still got it in the garage, only comes out for an occasional start-up these days and ofcourse the summer car show rides!

First car hmmmmm that would be a 1977 Triumph TR7 British Racing green, 2.0L rover engine twin Strombergs, SINGLE overhead cam, 5speed Borg-Warner, live rear. rack and pinon, black interior, canvas sunroof, bucket seats, 75-80 air conditioning, no heat and fewer electrical problems than my S-10!
i miss that car!

Which one do you think has the best offroad capability, your jeep cherokee or your current blazer?

My first vehicle I drove when I got my license was a 1993 Ford Exploder, Hand me down. My grandpa bought it brand spankin new in 92, sold it to my dad, my sister drove it as her first vehicle and so on. My first vehicle I my self owned was a 2003 VW Jetta GLI 24v VR6. my first fully paid off vehicle was a 1985 VW rabbit 1.6.

I had a 69 Pontiac Le Mans. My grandfather bought it for me when I was 15. It was black with purple silver and blue flames, ole saw blade wheels, 400 big block 400 turbo tranny. It was all i could have ever dreamed of back then. I planned on rebuilding it, but it was just to far gone. I scraped it this past summer, too many other projects and plans and I'd never have the dough to build it how I wanted. One of the hardest things I ever did.

My first car was a 1980 AMC Spirit

258 Straight 6 automatic transmission. it was silver with burgundy interior and pin striping. I paid $300 for that car back in 1992. The Silver paint was down to primer is several areas no matter to me I earned and paid for it myself so I polished paint and primer Brochure photo below of exact car color and model. I sold it and bought a 66 Bronco next.

wow, i made it thru the entire thread but i knew it would be interesting. I'v owned quite a few cars, trucks and bikes and will mention the first couple and i'm surprised no one else has had a Mustang 11, my first car, a 76 two-tone green coupe with vinyl roof, 2.8L v6 with 4 gear manual, nice interior, put 60 series tires on the back and loved to peel out. This was in 84 (i was 20), wrecked it next year off a gravel back road (drunk) so then picked up a 68 American Motors Rebel SST, 343 with 2 barrel carb, column shift auto (wish it was the 4b, 4 on the floor convertible). Funnest cars I never owned but drove a few times was an 80s Mazda RX7 (that Wankel loved to rev) and an 87 Z28, both these cars were real sports cars cuz they had a clutch!
fastest I ever drove was 230+ km/h (130+ mph) on a bike , 750 Maxim X that i took for a test drive on the 417 out of Ottawa back in the 80s
I have to comment on the Opels that a couple posts mentioned, my parents drove one in Germany as well in the 60s when Dad was in Canadian Artillery, us kids went all over in that but too young to remember the castles, etc.
