Your First Car

1968 Buick GS 400 with a 340-bhp 400-cid V was the first car I owned. Back in the early 90's when I started driving.

my first car was a 1966 ford f-250 camper special, 2wd. We bought it when I was 14, was that awful snot green color 4 speed with granny 1st, and had the 2 barrel carb with oil soaked are filter. It also came with a matching 1966 11' slide in camper that must have weighed 5000 lb's. We ended up hitting a deer with it one day and decided that was a good time to rebuild it. Me and my dad tore it down did all body work and paint ourselves ( canary yellow) and had the 352 big block rebuilt. Put a edlebrock 4 barrel performer intake and carb, headers and true dual exhaust. Was just over 300hp to the wheels, and surprisingly fast for an old farm truck. i took my driving test and everything in that truck, no power steering or breaks. And the best part is I could devastate all the other kids at school with their little riced out honda's and cavaliers. My wife (at the time girlfriend in high school) ended up rolling it one day, not used to the power and it was raining, had 4.11 gears and posi rear end, was difficult to get traction in the rain. Wish I still had it, and unfortunately no pictures. (and I am 26 now btw) One day I will get another one and rebuild it. Lots of cool 1st cars out there

whats the value on those things over there? are they rare or does everyone have old jag's laying around. out here you rarely ever see any cars like this.
i always wondered if they are just like how chevys are here where everyone has one

There are a few really good Jag clubs over here where people turn up with the older Jags.
No you won't see them on the roads every day, but go to a club meet and there are loads.
I also have another two old classics here, but they belonged to my Dad before he passed away and I just can't bring myself to ever part with them.
1965 4.2 E-Type.
1966 Aston Martin DB5 which I'm in the middle of restoring as you can see.
