Bought for $400 with some crazy rust... patched up the rust. Drove it for a year and sold it for $1700
SUPER clean... 130kms... AC. 29mpg driving like a ****
160km/h Auto (unfortunately)
Ran perfectly and would go down any road i put it on... never got stuck even in 3 inches of gravel.
Then i sold it for my blazer which then i seized the engine

My first car was a 1990 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 (foxbody). I do have pics but i have to find them. Looked stock...but wasn't. 453rwhp/487 lb-ft torque. 4 speed automatic. Only aftermarket on body was cobra rims 17x8, tint, clear headlights and corner and the tips of my exhaust out the rear. Dark red color on top and silver on bottom...factory paint.
A 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. Light yellow with the stainless steel top.
Man I wish I still had this thing. It had a digital dash and the speedometer only went up to 85, any faster and it would just flash. I remember my buddy and I drove it from Ohio to Florida and was just flashing "85" the whole way.

First Car- Dad called it the Flying Coffin

Down here in Ecuador- lots of cars one NEVER sees anymore- but no English cars at all. That says something about durability.Anyway,@ age 15, as I saved the lawn cutting $ for years- got a 1966 Triumph TR4-A cheap @ $100. Droveit home as fast as it would go(about 90) & immediately set about pulling the engine.Sold it for$100. Got$288 for the tranny. Off to Camp's Junkyard for a just wrecked 302 V-8 from a wrong year mustang and a cool Toploader tranny. Did lots of the work with my brother-meaning the use of his machine shop until all hours.Black Primer convertible- everything blacked out back in 1975. The SR-71 and spy planes in general were the influence. Brake light cutoffs, no chrome etc.
While the kids my age hung out drinkin' etc. I was "in love with my car". The engine compartment was detailed w/ wrinkle finish paint and white ceramic headers. On my first leave from the service, took my sign-up bonus & finished the car. Oh Yea, my Dad had GIVEN THE CAR AWAY! with a newspaper ad. Tracked it down and payed five hundred for my own car. Oh Crap! It had a sound (Walker Glasspaks) that I loved more than my Swedish girlfriend. Pulled the wheels a few inches& could burn rubber on Rt.80 while cruising.More than once it zoomed into a strangers driveway and sat burbling till the blue lights went by. Don't let me go on- I'll do something like that again! Hope that brings back memories about how it was before such lunacy was deemed a terror to mankind & the United Nations.
