who laughing?Except for the exploding rear gas tanks if you got hit from behind hard enough theres nothing wrong with them.I know a guy who still drives one stock with the 4 banger.I had two of them just out of high school put of 500,000 miles on that car.My first car was AMC gremlin that's something to laugh about.Wish I could find another one ,I would deck it out with a 302.

First car I ever drove was my dad's 1972? Cadillac hearse. Coolest thing I've ever driven to this day. Granted, I was about 9 (7ish years ago) and it was just up and down my long driveway. First car of my own was my 97 blazer. Bought for 500 and sold 8 months later for 1400.

My first car was a Datsun 510. Best winter vehicle. Drove like it was on rails.

Default 1948 Oldsmobile

Mine was a 1948 Oldsmobile, straight 8, 98, brown with tan convertible top and tan/red trim interior. Hydraulic power windows and power top. Thing was a tank in every sense of the word. Tried to "park" it in the kitchen and the house was worse off than the car...foot slipped of when I was 13. Pretty much just brushed the plaster dust off the car...had some serious wall repair to try to get done before mom got home..LOL!!

Mine, 1974 Chevy Vega.

Now the first car I drove on the street, a 1975 Ford Granada Landau coupe. Brother wouldn't take me to the mall, so I took his keys while he was sleeping and went myself. Was only 14, but what the hell.

2001 GMC Jimmy. My one and only car with tons of life still in it. I've owned it now for 5 years and haven't had to do much to it. Granted I found it with 58,xxx on it and they wanted it gone because it had "bad" millage and smelled of gas (turns out someone spilled a can of gas in the back so all was good after a deep clean of the interior).

She now has north of 83,xxx on it still running great.

Things I've had to do:
-Replace hoses
-Replace RF brake hose
-Replace E-Brake pedal
-Replace rear wiper motor
-New Tires
-Bondo LR fender (removed rust)
-Clean heat core
-Other general maintenance

Things to be done:
-Replace mirror controller (down button doesn't work anymore)
-Wire in Aux port on the deck
-Change dash lights to LED
-Change rear lights for LED
-Clean/replace/retrofit new headlights
--Halo design headlights (Custom)
-Aluminum Grille
--With GMC logo

This car is a daily driver since its my only car and I plan to keep this one a long long time. So for the time being I'm keeping everything modest
Any additional suggestions appreciated, just know my car budget isn't tons as I'm still finishing college up
