2nd gen Blazer 2000 4dr 4x4 lowering
 
New to the lowering business. ill start by saying I have already read the threads about why lower a 4wd yada yada yada, I want to lower the blazer because its my preference and i already have a lifted jeep. I have read enough threads that I have a pretty solid idea of what to do.

To my knowledge i can do a 3/3 drop and keep functional 4x4

All it would take is 3" drop leaf springs for rear
and adjusting the torsion bolt for the front

is this pretty accurate??? like i said im brand new to lowering ive never even been interested in it until i got this blazer

so my questions are what else is needed shocks? coil springs? etc..
is this what im looking at or is there more i need to know

Three inch would be pretty close to the bump stops. I think Energy makes shorter urithane ones. Three inch in the back screws with the brake lines but that is easily remedied. Could you be convinced to lower it 2in & 2in

your right about bump stops, I have read that everyone just cuts them down. Im really looking for the 3/3, I just really like how it looks.

I have not read anything about it messing with the breaks before though. What does it do? And what is the remedy to fix it if i run into that problem?

Another question i have is with adjusting the torsion bar how do i know when it is 3" ?

The brake line rubs the frame when lowered more than 2in and is easy to reroute. 4WD may be different.

Measure to the top of wheel well with a tape measure, before and after. Couldn't be easer.
