lowering 2000 4x4

i wanna lower my 2000 4x4 blazer, can i get about a 2/3 drop by turning down the torsion bars and 3 inch blocks in the rear? not looking to go all out and replace everything if i can get a lil lower

Yeah you can do it, I did it to my 04 about a year ago, I loosened my torsion keys and put two inch blocks in the back. Well it put me about 3.5 inches lower all the way around. just to let you know. I think there is a pic or two in my album(s) check it out.
Just be sure to allign it or the insides of the front tires will wear hella fast.

i hope you dont drive on the highway with those tires?

those tires are way underrated for your truck and you are driving on a ticking timebomb.

ya and anything over 15 inches is unsafe for your stock brakes too:icon_deadhorse:

Wow...those tires are not right for your truck. I agree, I hope you don't drive a lot on those. An accident waiting to happen. Not to mention it just looks ridiculous (IMO).
On topic...yes you can do a tbar lower. As mentioned though get an alignment afterwards as doing anything with the tbars tends to throw the alignment all out of wack.

yes torsion key and blocks is all you need. I had my old blazer dropped 2" that way. and like everyone else said those tires are a no no. and it dosent look all that good imo.

If you have the extra coin, get some drop shocks from belltech.

they arent going to stay on long, they have to go back on my 63. but fo rthe time being i just wanted to know if i can just loosen the torsion bars and drop it a lil bit.
what are the keys and all or do they need to be replaced. i know in my b2200 i had i just loosen the bolts and it lowered

if you follow the bars from behind the front tires to about midway down the truck you will see where they end. It will be a crossmenber like thing, not the trans crossmember, the one behind it. There are two bolts sticking out and all you got to do is loosen them, thats all. they don't need to be replaced.
