Need help choosing lowering shocks!
I need some help choosing lowering shocks for my blazer. I am looking to improve the ride quality first and foremost.
Right now the factory Bilstein shocks are still on it. I was hoping new shocks would help the ride, since they would be designed to work with my lowered suspension. I have an 05 2dr Blazer that is lowered 3 inches in the front with drop springs, and 4 inches in the rear with 3" leafs and a 1" block. I have heard both good and bad things about the belltech drop shocks, both the nitro 2 and the street performance ones. But I would definitely like to hear about any experiences people have with them. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! :icon_iamwithstupid: |

You are pretty close to your bump stops aren't you?

I'm not sure. I would have to take a look under my blazer. It has been a while since I did any suspension work to it. The guy who owned it before me had cut the front coils a bunch and removed leafs from the rear, so it was riding really low, like about 5 inches lower than stock, and it absolutely sucked to ride in.
My first priority was fixing that so I lowered it correctly with ground force 3" lowering coils in the front and Eaton 3" lowering springs in the back, and it helped a ton. Then I wanted it so sit level instead of have a slight forward rake, so I put a 1 inch block on the back also. But after having it for a while now, I think it could still ride better than it does, so I was hoping some good shocks might do the trick. |
How close to level are your lower control arms? I think thats the sweet spot for this platform as far as bump steer and roll center. Three inch springs seem like a lot.
