I just got a 2000 model 2wd 4door blue blazer. Love it so far. Was thinkin about puttin corvette grand sport 18x9.5 on it and lowering it. Any suggestions.

So with an 18x9.5, check the backspacing. If it's high, you have no choice besides getting wheel spacers/wheel adapters if you want them to not rub. |
You will not be abole to run Corvette or Camaro wheels on a 2wd S-series with out spacers. I don't remember the exact number but it will be at least 2.25", maybe 2.5". With the right spacers those wheels will clear with out issues.
Dropping it will be easy depending on how much low you want. You can do 1.5" with GM factory parts (Xtreme front coils and Xtreme blazer rear leafs). More low can be had with aftermarket parts. If you lower using springs, you will need shocks. If you use blocks, the stock shocks will still work for the back. I cannot say about lowering spindles except that they are costly. |
