    Hey Dave,
good to find a fellow Brit Blazer man.
I have only recently joined this site, but have owned mine since 2002, bought it from my local vauxhall dealer with only 50 miles on the clock - now it has 62K.
I joined when things started to go awry with the BCM.
I have historically only used OCW in Perivale, Middlesex to source parts in the UK, so it's good to hear about US Automotive in Bedford, which is not that far away from me in South Bucks.
My big sister lives in Dobwalls in Cornwall - not that far from you.
    Hope to catch up later.

Hi, sorry for the late reply - haven't been online for a few days. Good to hear from a fellow european Blazer owner. I think the Blazer is a great vehicle - pity GM pulled the plug on them over here though. I have not had any major problems with mine except general wear & tear. Had to replace a couple of balljoints a while ago. Only real hassle I had was the climate control system went completely dead earlier in the year. Had to get a secondhand control panel off Ebay (40) & all was well again. I get all the parts I need from US Automotive in Bedford, they're good people to deal with. I notice that you are in Normandy - whereabouts? I have some friends who have a house near Mayenne - about 50 miles northwest of Le Mans. In fact I am going over there next week to stay with them for a couple days, taking my motorcycle as the roads in France are made for bikes! I get the ferry from poole to Cherbourg.

Hi Dave, Thanks for the comment regarding the AC compressor. It would appear that most Blazers sold in UK were Black, only seen one red one. Ours could be twins. After the demise of the GM Chevy network I obtained all the parts and advice from Bauer Millett in Manchester, they are very helpful. Moved to Normandy in 2006 and now the Blazer is used more to tow a trailer and pull trees etc out of the ground!! Rather sad as the vehicle has been a good friend for the 70,000+ miles I have owned it. Best thing I got for it is a set of GM workshop manuals from the US. Cheers Chris Elliott
