    Hey man,
did you get the engine running yet?
Edit: NM good to hear your running.
I am just putting the camshaft in my 350 next week, I just finished prepping the Heads with heavy ass valve springs and new valve guide seals.
-will report back in a bit
P.S. I just put a CAI on a 3.8l mustang I drive in the summer and it made a mean growl out of that engine, I wouldn't hesitate to drop a CAI on anything I own after that nice rumble I got.

Well that doesn't sound good at all. If it got hot enough to melt the vacuum lines on the manifold i would imagine it probably melted a wire or sensor of some sort. Look around the engine for something else that got melted. maybe the throttle positioning sensor. But i also recommend making a post on here about this problem so other people can help you as well.

Do a little searching around on here for "350 swap" and that will tell you everything you need to know
