nice... well i went to a cb shop and the guy there helped me pick out a k40 cb antenna and a uniden pc78elite. I do a lot of traveling on the highway too so he said what i have would be good and give me the range to talk to truckers and stuff.... where did you mount your cb radio? pics?

actually, the funny thing is that antenna was no good, I actually have a Wilson 2000 Trucker antenna now which i made a bracket out of galvanized steel that spans from one side of the roof rack to the other right dead center of the truck. which gives me really good range, also i ran a peice of aluminum under the bracket for a ground plane with a wire hooked up on each side to make a ground up on the roof, otherwise the antenna really doesn't work well. as for a CB I just upgraded that as well actually earlier this week. I now have a Cobra 29 Nightwatch/WX wich ran me about $160 but with that I get prob 5-10 miles depending on the weather, lol

Hi... I like your setup with the antenna and roof mounted lights on your truck and might do the same on mine. (I just noticed your other convo and found that you already explained how you did it and am going to try it myself.) ... also how is the reception of your antenna in the back of your truck? I heard they are better in the middle of the vehicle and that is where i currently have mine mounted but i hate the wire that i have going into the door molding and into the truck. What kind of cb do you have? ... sorry for all the questions. I just like your setup and want to do the same on mine.
