2000 Blazer LS. I managed to snap the right rear parking brake cable at the equalizer (long threaded screw snapped) while trying to fix my parking brakes not holding. Obviously, I didn't research the correct method of adjusting them at the rotars when I replaced the PB pads. My question is.... Can I just bypass the right rear cable (since it snapped so that the left wheel will brake with the parking brake applied. I just need it to "hold" to pass inspection until I can replace the right rear cable and now the equalizer. Basically, I need to remove the equalizer and right rear cable out of the equation and accomplish a working parking brake. Any input??
