Hey Dan, I was just wondering if you were running the spyder upgrade al has & if so do you like it? I'm gunna be getting a wynjammer probably about the end of the month and wasn't sure if I should get the 36lb spyder upgrade al has or if I should do a marine intake swap like rotti. Thanks -Mike

5.3 aka 327 = nice engine go to www.turnkeyengines.com & look at what they can do to a 4.3, 5.3 & 6.0. The 4.3 gets 404hp with a cam & good GM parts. Imagine what they or anyone can do to a 5.3 lol. A 5.3 with the right cam, good internals etc can get over 500 DD reliable, naturally aspirated hp.

Mine is in the shop, He's looking at a used engine instead of rebuilding this one. $740 for the engine, swap my aftermarket goodies & have at er. It did only have 20K miles but it sat in a trailer since 2007. We're finally getting winter here, few inches of snow last week/weekend & more on the way. ND where my gf is will get around a foot & that just makes me want the blazer on the road even more! "WTF is with that odd sounding blazer that just flew past us? Damn Canadians!" lol

Just tried calling "don't leave a message I'll call ya back" So call, listen to my ringback - Layla & hang up, I'll call you back. 204 282 2363

Find a doner engine, take your time or have somone else take their time & get it rebuilt.
Save the cash for the upgrade chit you want & get it done right the 1st time!
You've got nothing to lose & everything to gain, don't play a crap shoot by half assed. I know you're not like that so stop thinking & just do it right.

My thoughts if I had a choice with knowing what I've paid & have been through.
Hindsight is 20/20 & I'm giving you that because we're similiar & have similiar parts, things going on. You have a wife, I have a gf abroad that I love & is in every part of my life as if she were here, but nm.
Don't F around, find a doner engine, take time because you have it & do it the way you want it - right!

Found some decals the other day, they have more but I picked up 2 of these for $2 ea.

I think they'll look killer on the side windows against the black tint.

Yeah they're good... people talk about the "parasitic loss" of power but if it takes say 5hp to make 70hp - I'd say that's a good deal for $2500.
I was lucky, I found a local guy that had the marine intake complete with 33lb/hr Bosch injectors & a newly rebuilt Wynjammer for $2000.
Al at Wynjammer had a bad batch of bearings sent to him that they installed in their superchargers only to be found out later that they were bad. The guy I got it from sent it back, Al rebuit it & the guy I got it from had sold his Jimmy to his wifes friend in the meantime = I was lucky! lol

They're a solid built charger from a guy that seems to be a regular backyard, been there, seen that - kinda guy.
Dan & I someday may have a drag to see wtf lol... different mods/equiptment etc.
    Sound good dan?

Yup, the 4.3 pulls strong with the wynjammer through the gears. My trans is rebuilt/upgraded to handle 500hp (so the shop says) & around the same torque & it gets worked every now n then.#'s for ya:
    stock 2nd gen 4.3 = 190 hp at the crank & 250 ft.lb tq I think & 152hp at the rear.
Mine on the dyno with the just the wynjammer, single in dual out exhaust made 195hp at the rear. We lose 20% - 25% because of the auto trans so that's a good increase! Wynjammer (Al) says you get 70hp increase so the numbers make sense.
I have to get a couple things fixed up 1st, but with the lunati torque cam & double springs, pro comp ultra roller rockers, high energy pushrods & lifters... Dan & I would have a blast! Him with better gearing 3:73 off the line & his MSD blaster ignition (I only have the blaster coil right now) but mine with (hopefully more torque) & 3:42 gears for better mid to upper end & other mods = a good drag! lol
