1995 blazer SS (did they exsist?)

Ok so I picked up a 95 blazer SS, hence my name, it was a steal of a price at $500 running and driving just needed rear brakes, tires, and a good cleaning. My plan is to clean it up and sell it but I'd like to know if it is a true SS or just some aftermarket badges. I was told it was a true SS truck and it appears to be, but with no paperwork to verify it I'm skeptical. If you guys have any info or know of websites where i could get info that would be great, Thanks, Brett. :icon_google: and dont send me this little fella cuz this is how I found your guys' site, thanks again

Found this info online:

The Chevrolet S-10 SS was a high performance version of the S-10, introduced in 1994. Fewer than 3000 SS's were produced yearly on average. When introduced, the SS was sold in only three colors: Onyx Black, Summit White, and Apple Red. The SS was discontinued in 1998. In 1999, it was replaced by the S-10 Xtreme.

A 4.3 liter V6 (which was optional on regular S-10s) was the primary engine used in the SS version, producing between 180 and 195 hp. The SS included lowered suspension, cosmetic changes such as a different grille, body-colored bumpers, 16" wheels, and other sporty touches. All SS versions were regular cab model. 1997 is the only year a stepside version was offered due to suspension fitment problems in earlier models. The SS option package was only available with an automatic transmission and 3.42 posi-traction rear-end.

That is a quote from Wikipedia and it is quite clearly talking about the S-10 SS. The OP says he has a Blazer SS which, to the best of my knowledge, never existed. If there are SS badges or decals on it, somebody just stuck them on it.

GM didn't make it.

Yeah, there is only a s10 ss, not a blazer version from all my research online. Sorry if I was confusing anyone, sounds like it was made with decals and whatnot.
