26 years and counting

New to this forum.

My truck was purchased in Alaska and was used plenty on and off road. Later it was used to move from Alaska to the lower 48 where is saw duty as our family vehicle and tow vehicle for my Trans Am.

Finally at 161,000 miles, a new Chevy crate motor (350) was installed which continues to propel it along the streets (LOL). My youngest son used it in HS, then in college, then drove it to work until he bought his own car. (Hurrah). It has seen little use in the past 4 years, and has suffered because of it. The interior is shot, and the exterior needs paint including the glass shell. There is some rust on the roof, plenty on the hood, and some in the front fender wells. The hubs are manual today and the tranny was rebuilt 4 years ago.

It needs work. I posted about the problems with my drip rail on the driver's side. Hopefully, some good advice will be provided on that topic.

My goal is to get this very reliable vehicle back into shape. It should go another 250k with constant use and care. :icon_cool:
