Hey guys, just joined now that I got a weekend to test rip my new Blazer. I'm a huge gearhead with a ridiculous amount of time and money in my Chevys, but it's better than being on drugs right?
Blazer is a 2000 4.3/5spd 4x4 with crank windows...no cruise...no skidplates...basic basic. I've already kinda transformed it though. Just started a build thread with a bunch more info to come: https://blazerforum.com/forum/builds...3013-new-post/
Have a 2001 Silverado 2500HD with the 8.1/zf6 6spd manual. That thing is a monster and I love it. It is thirsty though. But I've got it fixed up kinda just how I like it now.
My summer beater/hot rod is a 91 Beretta with a 3400 swap and 5spd with too much work into it to list. But it does run mid-13s@100-101 and knock down about 30mpg highway.
My long-term project is an 80Z Camaro. Bought it when I was in college and built the 355 and 6spd swapped it. Had a lot of fun with it, but 8yrs ago I tore it down for a rotisserie resto, 383 build and EFI conversion and it's not back running yet. Body and paint has really been slowing it down...hard to get good help, so I've been learning and doing it myself.
And last but not least...my old Z71 that I had to sell when I got the wifey knocked up. I built a 357 in that and swapped in an NV4500 5spd and a bunch of other work. Loved that truck, too. You might even notice the Blazer is looking pretty similar to the ol beast. haha
