Exclamation converted from ford to chevy

hey im new here. i really wanted to put a wanted ad up but oh well. i have a 02 ford ranger 2wd that never let me down but the truck payment got to be a pain. i found this 86 chevy k5 blazer. the title says k10 but its not. it had a rod knocking in it when i got it but i got lucky and found a H.O. 305 with 85k miles and i got it for 350 buck! i know the guy who had it. and i heard it run. im only 18 and i used to be pretty good with cars but i got into computers for a while then i found this project. i worked on it night and day. got the old engine out and the new one in. i had to modify somethings because it was a older engine then what i had. but i got a 2 piece rear main seal instead of a the cheap 1 piece seal. i got to drive it a few days ago and i used to be a ford guy but that sound of the v8 running off the manifolds is priceless! just got to watch out for the cops haha. the trucks got a few kinks in but other than that i love it. but i need to figure why the gas gauge stays way past full. i tried the grounds but still doesnt work...idk why. any ideas. i need a y pipe for it is anyone has one for a 4wd. i live in northeast ohio and i will drive a little to get it if i have to. thanks. is there any hidden grounds im missing? i got the 2 on the back of the cylinder heads or is one suspost to go to the wiring harness to the body? and the 2 by the battery and the on on the gas tank. all my other gauges work except the gas gauge. oh and my tail lights done work...everything else works tho...idk any one?

Good job making the switch!! You'd be frowned upon here if you still drove a Ford lol.
