excited to be a blazer forum member!!!
Hey all my name is Dave zellars I live in bernville pPennsylvania. My current ride is a 1999 Chevy blazer LS 2 door sport. Well at least I think it is an LS its that or base model. Bought her about a year ago for 500$ from a buddy. 4 weeks after I bought her spun a rod bearing. And since me nor my father were checked out on the 4.3 vortech we set the motor aside and I found a used one for 250$, slapped it in and been running good ever since . recently she's been acting up here and there. Little stuff nothing major until tonight actually I started her up started driving and heard a sound i would best describe as a chain dragging on the ground. So I stopped the noise stopped and seemed to stay at one speed even as the vehicle speed increased??? Went through all my gears manually and they all started making the vehicle crawl on its own except 2nd gear it just say there and I had to give it a good amount of throttle to go but she got me home lol but that's neither here nor there. Ill look into it let yall know. My goal is to find a decent zr2 and make an off road monster that would make the grave digger shake in his boots lol.not sure what year i want yet. But I am excited to talk to some guys with experience with blazers. Have a good one yall.

Welcome to the forum!
I don't know much about auto trannys internals to help you out, but there's a guy transman on here that knows his stuff.(as well as a few others) Hopefully he sees this and can help point you in the right direction.
The zr2 sounds like an awesome idea!

Welcome. Love your enthusiasm!
If you have not already done so, check out the sticker in the glove box. It'll tell you all you need to know about the options with which your Blazer was originally equipped.
Nice options are the GT4 (3.73:1) axle ratio and the G80 posi-traction rear end.
Keep us posted with your progress and be sure to ask questions.
