Greetings fellow Blazers

Hey hall just wanted to introduce myself here. I'm Josh and just bought a 2002 Trailblazer with 144k and almost no rust. A damn good deal I'd say for the bit I paid, only problems with it is no ac and the 4x4 doesnt work but I believe that's just a sensor. I'm still looking into that actually. The AC is a simple fix, I'll just the 450 ac that I grew up with. 4 windows down at 50mph 🤣🤣

I previously owned a 97 blazer that was rotted to hell and back but lasted me over 100k miles before I had to get rid of it. That was a sad day lol

so I got a little but of knowledge but am no expert. Just glad to of found a forum where I can read up and learn more on these fine machines. Aside from the camaro.. the Blazer has always been my favorite Chevy product.

Welcome! The GMT360/370 platform are good vehicles for the most part. I assume yours has the 4200 I6 engine which is pretty darn near bulletproof and it's sad that GM didn't use it more.

Welcome!!! I just had an AC problem too with my blazer(nothing wrong with the windows down). Thought I was gonna need a whole new AC compressor(ouch) but I lucked out and it was just a schrader valve that cracked.

I've read that the 4200 I6 is a excellent motor. Yup that's exactly what I got. Still get nervous with the cold tick it has though. I used to own a cobalt that had that tick, then it blew up. Now I think I have PTSD from it because I'm always worried its gonna grenade lol but all in all i love it. GM should have used it more. Parts are not very expensive and it seems easily fixable when things go wrong. Wait.. there that's why they stopped using it. Ha.

my ac problem is that they guy I bought it from, pretty much disconnected it and removed everything except the pulley I believe. So theres a couple grand I'm not gonna worry about right now. I never used ac anyway. I'm one of them guys that was told growing up that ac used up more gas and mpg is more important than ac. The women on the other hand pretty much threw her hands up and had a fit 😂😂

The heart.
Ignore the oil trails coming from the garage. It's from my 07 cobalt that blew up. Theres also trans fluid from my friends 04 impala when a line blew lol

What happened to the poor Cobalt? How on earth did you blow it up? I've abused the hell out of my 06, and it refuses to die
