Default Hello

My son has a 2004 v6 blazer. We need help. The truck will not stay running. The battery is brand new and we had the local auto zone check the alternator, they said it was fine. We can start the truck but with a jump but then it starts to loose power just sitting there in idle. If he puts in into gear it shuts off right away. Does anyone have a idea of what the problem could be.

This can be so many different things. Its fixable but requires some diagnostic tools and some mechanics knowledge or willingness to learn. Do you have any of the following:

Code scanner
fuel pressure gauge
Digital multimeter
