Hello!

I was active on this forum about a year or so ago when I was trying to discover if my Blazer was in shape enough to resurrect... After a very busy year I am pleased to say that, because of the help and guidance I received here, my truck has been carrying me to my job for about a year now. I've got a 98 4x4 Blazer, it's pretty stock since it was a county govt. fleet truck... it still has a lot of rust on the underside but it's structurally sound; just looks bad.

So far I've done:
New Fuel Pump (x2, the first one died on I-95 luckily in the last month of the warranty)
Monroe Shocks
Delco Fuel Injectors
Plugs and wires
4 rotors
2 calipers
IAC valve
Accel ignition coil pack
Pioneer Radio (x2, first was stolen. Didn't know people still did that)
Pioneer speakers (x4, all the door speakers were replaced)
Passenger side door lock mechanism repaired

To Do:
Front control arms + ball joints
Front brakes (this weekend, I think)
Front (and back, maybe) bearing hubs
After-market air intake (maybe)
De-rust the underside
Replace the busted-ass plastic dashboard

(will post photos later)

I look forward to sharing my amateur mechanical adventures!

I always get a chuckle when I hear of guys running theses older trucks

The 05s are becoming nearly extinct up here

I will need some guidance for the upper control arms though... I'll poke around the forum for that. Future projects! Need money for the parts. Will likely do bearing hub and control arms at the same time.

In the meantime, here's a photo of the truck!
