Exclamation Help! Electrical Issues-Dash? Ground?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group and need some help. I currently have a 1988 S10 2.8V6 Blazer 4x4. Everything in the blazer is working except the issues with the dash lights and the wires where the stereo originally goes.
When I received the vehicle, the interior lights didn't work along with the dash lights, and the stereo was ripped out. I've replaced the dimmer switch, headlight switch, the door jam switches, new grounds on the battery, and replaced the fuse for the interior lights. The issue I'm having is when I turn on the blazer and leave either the driver or passenger door open while having the headlights on, the dash and all lights work, including the interior. Once I close both doors, the dash lights turn off, the right signal dash light and hi-beam light stay on. Another thing is when the vehicle is off, i have to move the dimmer switch to the low setting to kill the interior lights. Otherwise, they'll stay on. Am I missing something?

Please help!
Ruben in Texas.

One more thing, on the new dimmer switch it does make a weird noise sometimes.
