Hi everyone
Hi,
Oviously I am new and have a few questions regarding the blazer.
I am gonna be lookign into a blazer.
Its a '99 2dr 4x4 with about 41k miles
THe asking price is $8950 but Blue book from kelly and edmunds but have it comign it a $2500-$3000 less than that. I think i will offer them $6500. What do you think woudl be a good price on it? Is there anyhting in partiuclar I shoud be on the lookout for? And is that a factory paintjob on it or does it look aftermarket?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks for the welcome and responces. I had completely overlooked that those could be vinyl, I haven't seen the truck yet and plan on checking it out this weekend. Are there any common problems i shoudl be on the look out for?
Anything else you can tell me about it based on those pictures would be great.

You might want to pop the hood and take the radiator cap off and the coolant overflow resevoir cap off...check for any dex-cool coolant sluding. The coolant should look orangey - lighttt brownish. If it is dark brown or it looks like chewed up dog food in there, you might want to ask them to flush the coolant system pre-sale and check for problems.
That's got some nice low mileage on it. Body and paint look nice, too.
There's no reason you shouldn't be able to check under the hood, or crawl underneath and look for problems. Every problem you find that costs $$ to fix is something that you can use to drive the value down. While you're at it, check out some of the common Blazer annoyances that pop up.
Definitely take WolfPack's advice and check the radiator for signs of sludging. My '95 was sludgy and it sucked. It's a '99, so if you buy it, you probably won't get anything out of the Dex-Cool class-action lawsuit if you later have to spend money fixing sludge problems.
