Hi Everyone
I'm Scott from NJ. I picked up a 98 Blazer recently. My son is getting his permit and will be driving soon so I thought a truck would be a good choice. I got it for $700. It needs some work but the body is in great shape and so is the interior. We fixed the driver door hinge pins and the emergency brake assembly today. Still more to do but not too much I hope. I have one problem with a misfire code that I will be posting some questions about.
I look forward to learning what I can and sharing anything I discover that can help! |

Good job and welcome to the blazerforum.com, this is the place to start and finish your blazer needs for sure.
I've been needing to do the driver's door hinge on my 2000 Blazer again for a while and I wonder what you did with yours. I've been looking at oversize bushing/pin kit from totalauto.com/hingekits.com in MN, but I've also seen that Dormanproducts.com offers the 924-107 lower hinge and 924-106 upper hinge kit as a whole assembly. It says it's really easy to install with bolts and stuff. However, mine seems to be welded to the unibody so I'm not so sure. My hinges were really wallered out the first time we did this and it was a pita, so I'd like to fix it up nice if I'm going to keep going with this and for better resale, if something else comes up. |
Hey everyone i just recently had someone replace my starter on my 99 blazer 4x4 but they told me i need to bolt it down to the frame so the exhaust doesnt melt the wires. Where does it bolt down to??
