Default I am about to be a 1996 2 door blazer 4x4 owner.

I am making this thread before i have actually explored this Forum. But what are gonna be some issues that are most popular with these vehicles and also i wouldnt mind a solid list of great off roading mods to add. the blazer already has a 3" body lift and it sits on 31x10.5 r15 goodyear wrangler duratract tires thats pretty much it. I also live in Charlotte,NC and wanting to know so good areas to go off roading maybe try some rock crawling once the blazer is setup correctly if that possible for under a 5k$ budget.

Welcome from Alberta.

If you're looking for a rock crawler, then you might want to consider doing a solid front axle swap. These trucks are quite capable off-road with the IFS, but with a SFA you'll have way more suspension travel, and can build with way stronger components than the stock aluminum diff in these trucks. Check out the various member builds in the build section. There's lots of different ways you can build up these trucks, depending on what you want and your capabilities. Most of the time the SFA is actually cheaper than doing one of the bigger 5-6" suspension lifts.

Definitely a SAS (solid axle swap) if you want to make it a rock crawler.

Welcome from MN btw

Sweet I will definitely look into doing that thx.. I actually picked up my blazer last night paid 2700$ for it. already noticed an electrical issue i havent had time to actually do a complete exam of the entire vehicle. But for 2700$ i expected that i would have minor issues.
