Just bought a 1993 Chevroley Blazer Silverado, New to These

I've always wanted a 4x4 that could take me hunting where I'd feel safe and have fun, so on craigslist I found this one. I bought it for $2500 yesterday in cash. I don't have a mechanic or know one but the engine sounds like it idles a little rought, its definatley drivable and feels strong. Its a really big suv compared to me I'm 5'1. My buddy said I look funny driving it lol. Anyway, this is going to be my project car. I'm a little low on funds right now, but eventually I want to do an engine swap, its an automatic 4 wheeler. Any ideas on how much an engine swap will cost me??? Any suggestions on how I can restore this bad boy would be appreciated. It has dual flow masters. No ac, or radio, but I'm sure those are things I'll do later on. I'm more concerned on engine, and tranny right now. I'm in California, San Francisco area so if anyone knows of any good reasonable mechanics out here thats also a plus. :icon_wink:

Engine swaps can cost around $1000... or $10,000. It all depends on what engine you buy and who does the install. Mine cost a little under a grand because I did all the work. IMO if your engine ain't broke... don't swap it out. That "rough" idle might just be the fact that its a V8.

Oh yeah and pictures would be nice too.
