New to the Blazer fold

I'm 26 and I'm from the frosty Northern state of Maine. I work full-time at a local gas station and I drive a 2000 Chevrolet S10 Blazer 2-door. Not sure if it's a ZR-2 because it doesn't have the labeling but it sure looks like it.

My Blazer story started out tragic and had a nice turnaround at the end (hopefully). I bought a white 2000 Chevrolet Blazer 4-door from a guy selling for $600. Ran perfect, new transmission, the whole deal. Seemed like an awesome setup, and considering my car died the day after (1996 Cutlass Supreme...oil pump quit a quarter mile away from home and the engine was a basket case by the time I pulled into the driveway) I'd bought it just in time.

So I insured it and registered it, and while my brother and I were working on sticker items, we discovered something: the frame in the rear was so far gone that pieces of it were falling off just by touching them. The body panels were perfect for the most part, but there was no saving the thing short of rebuilding the frame.

So for two months I was without a car. Thankfully I had relatives with extra cars who were willing to lend them to me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get to work.

From there I managed to acquire another 2000 Blazer from a gentleman who knew my brother, which had been in an accident (hit a deer). This required the replacement of all the front-end parts from the radiator fan forward (minus the A/C condenser...we didn't mess with that), and considering I had an identical vehicle it was a shoe-in for a rebuild.

This is the result. Now, it's still rough around the edges (which is one of the main reasons I joined this forum), but it's a work in progress. And runs great!
