new blazer owner in MISSISSIPPI!!!
whats up everyone. my name is Brandon and i live in Gautier, MS. I just bought a 98 Blazer LT. gotta say it's a nice ride. my girlfriends mom got it from another relative as a way to pay off owed debt. i rolled my jeep and needed another vehicle quick so i decided to buy hers to help us both out. the vehicle looked pretty good when i got it. so far i've polished the headlights and taillights and made an intake out of the intake piping i had on my jeep and used the same huge filter. has a nice sound on the blazer. will do alittle more to it performance and aesthetic wise. i'd like to find the blazer extreme front and rear and then aftermarket side skirts. i also wanna lower it and get some clear headlights with hid's and some clearer looking tail lights as well. anyway, about the vehicle-
the blazer originally came from florida. it has 190k on it but drives fine. i havent done any maintenance work on it yet. the driver door top hinge has come unwelded in one spot. i hear this is a common problem. also, the hood latch is broken. i'm not looking forward to replacing that i know.
the oil looks fine still so i'm gonna wait a bit and switch to synthetic when the time calls for a change. i also bought a fuel filter and spark plugs. the fuel filter is purolator and the spark plugs are ac delco rapid fire. sound good? the plug wires look old but they seem fine. i'd like to find a set of msd plug wires or some performance wires but, so far all i've found in msd are for the v8. not sure if i wanna go ahead and change spark plugs now or wait til i get new plug wires as well.
anyway, nice to meet everyone and hope to learn alot. off too the search button now.
