New from Colorado

Howdy... figured I would introduce myself since I am a new member here. My name is Jeff and I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have a 2000 Blazer, 4x4, 4 door, with the 4.3. This is my wife's Blazer, she bought it before we got married, and the crank bearings spun on the original motor not long after she bought it. It took us quite awhile to get it back on the road due to some "friends/family" screwing her over, i.e. took money from her to supposedly fix it for her, never fixed, stole her money, bought parts for it that could be used to fix it since the block was done for, blah blah blah. Long story short we finally found a donor vehicle to swap motors and got the Blazer going again. I had never worked on one of these Blazers to that point and now I am trying to learn as much as I can about this vehicle so that I can do as many repairs as I can on it and to try to keep the vehicle running as long as I can. I am mechanically inclined, as I do all the work on my 04 Ford f-250 Powerstroke. I am a very active member on a Powerstroke forum, so I know first hand how helpful some forums can be, I hope the same rings true about this forum. I look forward to chatting with other members here and soaking up as much knowledge as I can.

Thanks for reading!

Jeff

This is a bit amusing... my name's also Jeff, and I also live in Co. Springs. But my Blazer's a 97, and I'm not so much a fan of the Powerstroke (although my experience with that new 6.7 of theirs has been good), so I suppose the similarities end there.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I'm a truck and heavy equipment mechanic... while there is a lot which doesn't translate into auto service and repair, I still do know a thing or two about the latter. And welcome.

Kind of central, off of Fillmore and I-25.
