I have owned a 2005 Blazer since 2009. Got it with around 75,000 miles on it. Since then I have put around 30,000 and I have only had to get a idler arm put on.

I have started to save up some money and want to splurge and do some stuff with my blazer.

Here are some pictures of it:

I had been advised not to bother replacing the bumper, deflector, and grill. I am looking at putting in a aluminum grill though. I am unsure as to what else I should do. I ordered this stereo http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...22759896_n.jpg and a double din kit, the wire harness, and the antenna adapter. I hear stereos can be a ban on Blazers and was hoping that the installation goes smoothly without any problems. I have never had chimes on this vehicle and I noticed that was one of the things that could be impacted from an aftermarket stereo so I am not too worried about that.

I am open to suggestions, recommendations, and in general just comments on what I should do.

Side note: Lift is probably not going to happen but new tires are a possibility if the rims can be used on the new tires. P235/70R15 are the current tires. Currently looking into LT tires but again, I am open to suggestions.

Welcome from Alberta.

Installing stereos in the Blazers isn't much problem at all. It looks like you bought the harness adapter, so you should be fine.

Awesome, I did buy the harness. Just as I browse around different sites and forums I have noticed that some people say in 2000 or newer models there is difficulty with the security system and other computer aspects of the vehicle being wired into the stereo.
