Hello to all!
My wife and I purchased a 2003, 2dr, 2 wheel drive Blazer.
My brother-in law had driven for about 5 years but decided to look for another Jeep Grand Cherokee once he managed to run this one into a cement barrier that somehow jumped into his path.
Smashed up the front passenger side some.
In a parking lot no less.
So we've had this since about mid December 2017.
I keep finding more and more things that I'm sure he was ignoring, especially after banging up the front end.
I'll include a photo of the front-end after I replaced the headlight just over the weekend.
I've fixed many small things.
you know mostly those things that are just annoying to people like us.
Like I pulled the rear window wiper arm and sprayed it with WD-40 and was able to get it freed up so now it will actually clean the rear window once again.
Replaced the upper door hinge pins on both doors.
Sure is nice when you can close the doors without having to fight with it!
I had a little trouble with the drivers side though.
The spring nut wasn't on properly and came back off.
Luckily it happened right in the driveway and I was able to recover the spring nut and reshape it.
I was able to get it back together and I keep an eye on it just in case.
I most likely with need to replace it though since I see now that the lower bushing is cracked.
Partly because the lower hole in the hinge is too large and the bushing doesn't fit real well at all.
Oh, it does have a factory sunroof, although the drive system is mostly wasted.
It will open some but not well.
I have up until now been able to get it closed properly.
I'm sure that one day it will die, when open I'm sure!
The drivers side window will not open.
I've never had to replace an electric window system so I'm sure this will be a new experience!
I've replaced burnt out interior lights too.
New distributor cap and rotor, new TPS and I replaced the ignition coil wire.
I do have the remainder of the wires but I still have not purchased any new plugs.
Replaced the fuel pump but only because I prefer being able to use the fuel gauge too!
Wow!
I'm getting tired of typing.
I could add more still but not today.
